Khazna's  Bio

It is easy to see that Khazna dances from the bottom of her heart,

a visual picture of the music.  Entertaining audiences from ages 3 to 103, with a classy authentic show, in any venue from a nightclub to a Girl Scout meeting and everything in between.

After studying with The Habibi Dancers of Michigan ,she began performing weekly in the night clubs and restaurants of her hometown outside of Detroit. She has been training, dancing and performing Raks Sharqi for over 15 years. Graduating college with a dance arts degree in classical and modern dance, a B.A. in Museum Science and minor in Education from Northeastern Illinois University.  In addition, Khazna has enjoyed the privilege of performing, and studying dance in Morocco, Egypt, Dubia, and Thailand.

Khazna is capable of featuring a diversity of styles such as: Egyptian, Turkish, Nubian, Saiidi, Beledi, Tunisian, Gulf.  She has been known to use props such as: double canes, flaming sword, tray and Shamadan, and bar glasses, and complemented by sigat (finger cymbals) in various rhythms.

Her show is guaranteed to captivate, inspire and represent Arabic culture at its finest.
